About

Most of my work over the past two years has come down to one question: how does a company cut its environmental impact without slowing down its business? For Boeing, that meant a cradle-to-gate life cycle assessment of aircraft interior materials. For a manufacturing client, it meant modeling an induction-heating retrofit to cut Scope 1 emissions and ranking more than thirty vendors to make it real. For another, it meant building their first corporate sustainability report from the ground up.

What I enjoy most is bringing new engineering ideas into that work and finding ways to build sustainability into every part of a company, from design and operations to reporting and strategy. The part that keeps me interested is the mix: running an LCA in SimaPro one week, analyzing lab samples with GC-MS and HPLC the next, then sitting with a client to explain what the numbers actually mean.

I am finishing a Master of Science in Sustainable Engineering at Villanova University on a full scholarship, with a 3.94 GPA. Before that I trained as a petroleum engineer in Azerbaijan. Switching from oil and gas to sustainability was a real decision, and it changed the direction of my career. It also means I understand industrial operations from the inside, not just from a spreadsheet.

I am looking to write a paper dedicated to sustainability, ESG, decarbonization, LCA, carbon accounting, or a related technical area. Sustainability is the long-term career I want to build, and I am ready to make a real difference in it.
