Ahmad Yunus is a psychological lecturer at the International Open University and a registered counselor specializing in addiction and trauma recovery under Lembaga Kaunseor Malaysia (LKM). He is currently pursuing his PhD in Counseling at the Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM), supported by the Malaysia International Scholarship. With a Master’s degree in Counseling (Substance Abuse) and nearly a decade of active research experience, Ahmad has significantly contributed to studies on drug abuse prevention, psychospiritual interventions, and mental health awareness. In addition to his academic role, Ahmad has served as a research officer and project coordinator in national-level grants, including the Long-term Research Grant Scheme (LRGS) focused on the development of psychospiritual-based prevention modules. His work—published in Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed journals—covers a wide range of topics from adolescent religiosity and indigenous counseling to psychological well-being in digital environments. He is highly skilled in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including SPSS and Nvivo, thematic analysis, and multivariate statistics. Ahmad brings a blend of academic rigor and cultural sensitivity to his work, making him a sought-after collaborator in research, education, and community development. With a strong commitment to advancing trauma-informed care and addiction recovery frameworks, he remains open to academic partnerships, research consultations, and international engagements.
