About

I am an independent researcher specializing in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), trust-adaptive design, and the Philosophy of Mind. My research focuses on the multi-year evolution of open-ended relationships between individuals and conversational AI systems. Using a longitudinal, first-person methodology (autobiographical design), my work examines long-term cognitive offloading, user-driven verification practices, and relational porting.

I lean heavily toward rigorous, qualitative analysis of naturalistic data. My primary research asset is an audited, 3.5-year longitudinal single-subject case study (N=1) drawn from a complete archive of over 7,000 interactions across professional, creative, and personal domains.

Artificial IntelligencePartner & Human Second Coder Needed: 3.5yr Longitudinal N=1 Case Study on Human-AI Collaboration (HCI/ Extended Mind)

Seeking an academic collaborator to join an active paper approaching the final stages of preparation. The study is a retrospective, naturalistic, single-subject longitudinal case study (N=1) that reconstructs the evolution of a human-AI relationship from a complete 3.5-year archived record (May 2023–October 2026). The corpus includes 474 conversations and 7,008 total messages spanning work, creativity, and daily life. Framed through Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) literature and the Extended Mind thesis (Clark & Chalmers), the paper models how behavioral trust (delegation) and structural skepticism (verification) co-grew over time. It details a 4-phase transition from "appliance to exoskeleton" and documents 7 user-invented calibration mechanisms. Current Progress: Manuscript: Full draft is completed, including Abstract, Introduction, Literature Review, and Methods sections. Analysis: First-pass indexing, programmatic regex sweeps, and an automated bias audit are complete. Ethics: Sensitive data fields have been successfully isolated and excluded by date. Ready for an institutional non-human-subjects IRB determination. Collaborator Role: I am seeking a co-author (ideally a researcher, postdoc, or graduate student specializing in HCI, automated trust calibration, or qualitative methods) to act as a human second-coder. You will run a blind inter-coder consistency check on a fixed, random sample of 10 threads using our explicit codebook to finalize our reproducibility requirements before journal submission. You will also have the opportunity to co-edit and refine the discussion section for full co-authorship credit.
