About
Cardiologist, clinician-scientist and university lecturer with a strong interest in interdisciplinary and international research collaboration.
I am a Lecturer at the “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara, Romania, and a Consultant Cardiologist, with an MD and a PhD in Medicine (Magna Cum Laude). My academic and clinical work bridges cardiology, internal medicine, vascular medicine and preventive medicine, with a particular interest in translating clinically relevant questions into collaborative research projects.
My research experience includes arterial stiffness and vascular ageing, cardiovascular imaging, hypertension and cardiovascular adaptation in pregnancy, cardio-renal-metabolic disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, lifestyle and exercise interventions, atherosclerosis, and early diagnostic strategies in oncology.
I have contributed to clinical studies, reviews and interdisciplinary research involving cardiovascular disease, pregnancy, metabolic and vascular biomarkers, oncology and preventive medicine. My work has included original research, data interpretation, scientific writing and visualization, as well as systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
I am particularly interested in connecting with researchers and clinicians who are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic collaborator for multicentre studies, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, clinical and translational research, international research networks, grant proposals and high-quality scientific publications.
I am especially open to projects at the intersection of cardiovascular prevention, vascular ageing, cardiometabolic health, women’s cardiovascular health, lifestyle medicine and healthy longevity.
I value research collaborations that combine complementary expertise, rigorous methodology and clinically meaningful questions — and I am always interested in discussing an ambitious idea that could develop into a strong international project.
