Hi everyone! I’m looking to connect with researchers who may need collaborators on manuscripts, literature reviews, secondary data analyses, or other publishable projects.
I am a clinical research coordinator/staff research associate in UCLA Health's Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, where I coordinate neurodevelopmental research focused on autism, sensory processing, social cognition, and psychophysiology. My current work includes participant recruitment and scheduling, MRI visit operation and coordination, behavioral and psychophysiological data assessment, task design, data quality control, and neuroimaging-related analyses.
In addition to my neurodevelopmental research experience, I have been involved in health disparities and behavioral medicine research through UCLA’s SPHERE Lab, where my work has focused on provider experiences, medical mistrust, barriers to care, somatic burden, mental health, and HIV prevention attitudes among marginalized populations. I have recently submitted a manuscript examining how barriers to medical care condition the relationship between healthcare provider experiences and attitudes toward PrEP among MSM and am currently working on a manuscript examining the impact of caregiver incarceration on internalizing (mental illness) and externalizing (embodied somatic burden) symptoms.
I also have applied experience working with incarcerated and justice-impacted individuals through prison education and reentry-related projects. These experiences have shaped my interest in research that is both theoretically rigorous and practically meaningful for populations who are often underserved, overpathologized, or misunderstood by institutions.
I am interested in collaborating on manuscripts, literature reviews, secondary data analyses, theoretical papers, and applied clinical or community-based research projects. I can contribute to literature reviews, manuscript drafting, conceptual framing, survey development, qualitative coding, REDCap/data organization, participant-facing materials, table and figure development, and interpretation of findings through a clinical, developmental, and scientifically-informed lens.
My research interests broadly center on clinical psychology health disparities developmental psychopathology trauma and justice-involved populations. I am especially interested in how adverse environments institutional systems and structural inequality shape mental health healthcare engagement and long-term developmental outcomes. My specific areas of interest include: * justice-involved and incarcerated populations (mental health trauma rehabilitation reentry recidivism institution harm intervention development adolescence) * youth development trauma and behavioral risk (childhood adversity family instability violence exposure coercive systems emotion regulation coping behaviors substance use) * health disparities and medical mistrust (trauma chronic stress pain somatic symptoms interoception health behavior) * clinical intervention and applied mental health work (trauma-informed developmentally appropriate culturally responsive distress tolerance) I can contribute to: Literature reviews and annotated bibliographies Manuscript drafting and editing Conceptual/theoretical framing Survey design and measure selection REDCap organization and data dictionaries Qualitative coding and thematic analysis support Participant recruitment/screening materials Data cleaning and descriptive analyses Poster/abstract preparation Interpretation of findings through clinical developmental trauma-informed and justice-informed frameworks
