I am a medical doctor from Ethiopia currently pursuing a Master’s in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Eastern Piedmont in Italy, where my thesis focuses on Squamous cell carcinoma of the skin in the dermatology department. I have four years of clinical experience across emergency medicine, orthopedics and trauma, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and COVID-19 care in government hospitals. Alongside my clinical work, I use a social media platform with over one million followers to educate the public on disease prevention and wellness. I am committed to continuous learning and eager to collaborate on research that strengthens clinical practice and improves patient outcomes.
My primary area of interest is Orthopedic Surgery driven by my four years of clinical experience in Ethiopia particularly in trauma and orthopedics where I managed numerous fracture and musculoskeletal injury cases. Working in high pressure and low resource settings has strengthened my clinical decision making and adaptability and witnessing the harmful effects of traditional non evidence based treatments deepened my commitment to improving orthopedic care and surgical training in Ethiopia. I aim to contribute to research and innovations that enhance musculoskeletal health and patient outcomes in resource limited settings.
