With the accelerated development of globalization, the complex and changeable social situation has brought various difficulties and challenges to the correctional work. For this reason, taking the Macao Correctional Services Bureau as the research perspective, analyzing the crisis management strategy of correctional work, referring to the prison crisis life cycle theory, expounding the crisis preparation period, crisis outbreak period, crisis diffusion period, crisis treatment period, crisis treatment results and five significant stages of the aftereffect period, discussing the implications of this theory for prison crisis management. In order to build an efficient crisis prevention and governance system, use the 4-R theory of prison crisis management to explain in detail reduction management (Reduction), readiness management (Readiness), response management (Response) and recovery management (Recovery) , and discuss the corresponding management measures. Finally, from a macro perspective, a number of strategic studies are proposed on the improvement of prison emergency response capabilities and correctional professional quality, hoping to provide a useful theoretical basis and practical planning for the optimization and sustainable development of correctional work.
